Ingredients
Instructions
- 1
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, mirin, sake, sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Set aside.
- 2
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat (approx. 400°F / 200°C).
- 3
Add the thinly sliced beef to the skillet. Sear for 1-2 minutes until browned on the outside but not fully cooked through.
- 4
Pour the sauce mixture over the beef in the skillet. Reduce heat to medium.
- 5
Simmer the beef in the sauce for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. The sauce will bubble and thicken into a shiny glaze.
- 6
Once the sauce coats the beef nicely, remove from heat.
- 7
Serve the teriyaki beef hot over steamed rice, accompanied by steamed broccoli florets. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
