Spicy and numbing Sichuan masterpiece with silken tofu and ground pork in a fermented bean paste sauce.

    Gather and prepare all ingredients as specified in the ingredient list.

    Blanch tofu cubes in salted boiling water for 2 minutes.

    Drain.

    Stir-fry ground pork in a wok until crispy.

    Add Doubanjiang and garlic, stir-fry until red oil appears.

    Add water or broth.

    Gently slide in tofu.

    Simmer for 3-5 minutes.

    Thicken with cornstarch slurry.

    Sprinkle with ground Sichuan peppercorns and green onions before serving.
