Naan Bread (Garlic and Butter)
Soft and pillowy leavened flatbread, perfect for scooping up curries. Infused with minced garlic and brushed with melted butter.

Activate yeast by mixing it with warm water and sugar. Let it froth for 5-10 mins.

In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, and yogurt. Add yeast mixture and knead into a soft dough. Cover and let rise for 1.5 - 2 hours until doubled in size.

Punch down dough and divide into 6 balls. Roll out each ball into an oval shape.

Sprinkle minced garlic and cilantro on top and press gently.

Heat a heavy skillet/tawa. Place naan on it. Cook until bubbles appear, then flip and cook other side until charred spots appear. (Alternatively, bake in a preheated oven at 260°C (500°F) or use stovetop flame to char).

Brush generously with melted butter before serving.
