Tiramisu (Italian Coffee Dessert)
Classic Italian no-bake dessert with layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers and mascarpone cream.

In a large bowl, whisk egg yolks and sugar until pale and thick, about 5 minutes.

Add the mascarpone cheese to the yolk mixture and beat until smooth and creamy. Do not overmix.

Pour the cooled espresso into a shallow dish. Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee for just 1-2 seconds (do not soak or they will fall apart).

Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers in the bottom of a 9x9 inch baking dish.

Spread half of the mascarpone mixture evenly over the ladyfingers.

Repeat with a second layer of dipped ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone mixture. Smooth the top.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Just before serving, dust the top generously with cocoa powder.
