In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, yogurt, and a squeeze of lime juice for the Baja sauce. Set aside.

Toss the shredded cabbage with a pinch of salt and lime juice. Set aside.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour and beer until a smooth batter forms. Season with salt.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pot to 375°F (190°C).

Dip the fish pieces into the batter to coat completely, then carefully lower them into the hot oil.
